We Have All The Baby Seals

We're so proud of our second violinist, Kathy. She's been volunteering weekly at the Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito for ages, nursing seals, California sea lions, and more back to health so they can return to the ocean.

Climate change, shark bites, debris, and disease are just a few reasons that an animal can be separated from its family and badly in need of care. The dedicated volunteers of the MMC cover 600 miles of coastline and rescue around 700 marine mammals every year. Many animals require treatment at the hospital, which is where Kathy works. If they're young enough, they even have to be taught to eat fish!
